This site is dedicated to the Art of Upland Hunting and the traditions of quail hunting with an emphasis on DIY western-public land hunts without a dog. Hunting on public land without a dog to help you locate or retrieve birds is a tough challenge, which appeals to me a great deal!

The thoughts, practices and opinions on this site are my own and may not reflect the views of the majority of upland hunters. My goal is to inspire the next generation of upland hunters despite some of the challenges they might face regarding limited resources, being limited to public land, or not having access to a dog.
